To date, the book "River of Fire" from the series about cats-warriors is the penultimate among the published franchise works. It was published in early April 2018 in English and has not yet received an official Russian translation. The River of Fire is a direct continuation of The Darkest Night and is part of the Vision of Shadows series.
Background
In previous parts of the Warrior Cats, the forest was liberated from the invaders. After the devastating defeat of the Darktail and the evil tramps, the enemies for a long time will not be able to regain their strength for the next attack on civilized cats. All this happened due to the return of the legendary cats of the Heavenly tribe, which for several decades have not been shown to ordinary mortals.
Despite the seemingly long-awaited peace that has come, cats-warriors in the "River of Fire" will face new challenges, in the form of tribal internecine wars for power, and one of the strongest Shadow clans could even break up.
Plot
This part of the series begins almost at the same place where the previous one ended. Vetelapka together with Plavnichk goes to the Stormy tribe, where they are met by Ognesvetik. Locals treat strangers aggressively and with caution, but they still manage to make contact. The Blackberry Star takes two young warrior cats to the service and finds mentors for them. As a good leader, she appoints Vetvelapka to be the teacher of Firelight, who from the first meeting disliked the stranger. Subsequently, they will have to go through a lot, which in the future will result in a strong friendship between cats.
Tie
At the same time, a new misfortune comes to the Storm Clan - most of the warrior cats and their families are struck by a disease that makes their stomachs hurt. The only cure for cat plague is the miraculous river mint. The problem is that it is nowhere to be found, except for the territory of the hostile clan of the Winds. Olkhogriv sets off for negotiations with the Invisible Star along with a small detachment of small, healthy warrior cats.
The main antagonists of the past units, stray cats, although they suffered heavy losses, still did not abandon their attempts to capture the disagreeable warriors. They developed a plan according to which they managed to steal children from the Wind tribe. The plan was that the fake rebels could blame the Shadow tribe. A whole storm is brewing, the result of which can be seen already in the next part of the book.
