When is Engineering Day celebrated

Many public holidays do not have a fixed date. One of them is the day of machine builders, which is celebrated on the last September Sunday. It was approved by the decree "On holidays and memorable days" in 1980 and is familiar to many millions of citizens.

The machine-building industry is the technological core of the industry. It is closely connected with transport, the fuel and energy complex, communications, the agro-industrial complex, construction, the military-industrial complex, and ensures their uninterrupted functioning and replenishment of the consumer market.

Engineering Day celebrates 40% of enterprises that are on their own balance in the industry. These are 7.5 thousand large organizations and 30 thousand small companies. Several million people work in enterprises.
