The Saboteur is a third-person action computer game with stealth elements. The game tells about the events of World War II in France. You have to play for an Irishman who is going to resist the German occupation. In this review, you will get acquainted with the description of the game and the system requirements of The Saboteur.
Plot description
Actions take place in Paris in the mid 40-ies of the last century. You will play for the race driver from Ireland, Sean Devlin, who is in occupying France. He enters the ranks of the Resistance movement. Together with its participants, the protagonist decides to fight back the Nazis and help French intelligence.
If we analyze the atmosphere and quests, then this game will seem a fairly balanced and intense work, in which there is no time to be distracted by extraneous entertainment.
Gameplay
If you leave the open world, the game will most resemble GTA 3 in all respects. To avoid comparison, the developers made a knight's move - they added a graphic filter to the game, which colors the picture in black and white (in the territory captured by German troops). As the areas become free, you will return a realistic color to the city and residents. This style is truly mesmerizing and conveys the spirit of espionage.
The Saboteur system requirements for PCs are low because the game is developed on the GTA engine. From here, the usual elements for GTA arise - chases, fights with passers-by and other chaos. In this game, I do not want to do such things, and time does not allow. The plot is so concentrated around the missions that you can’t get distracted by additional classes.
The second main part of the gameplay is stealth. Most of the tasks will be related to tracking, penetrating bases, secret killings and other spy things. The developers managed to create really interesting tasks and add quite peppy skirmishes to them.
Separately, it is worth mentioning the plot savers and cut scenes. The creators did not hesitate to add bloody episodes, naked bodies, obscene language, etc. At these moments, it seems that you have a really adult and serious project. However, The Saboteur has its drawbacks - somewhat crooked control, poor optimization and outdated graphics.
Minimum requirements
First, consider the minimum and then the recommended system requirements of The Saboteur on your PC. If you have a rather weak computer or laptop, you can still enjoy the gameplay of this game, since its basis is the old engine. It looks like a game at the level of old GTA in the open world. To run the action on the computer at the minimum graphic settings, you need the following system configuration:
- OS "Windows XP" or newer;
- RAM not less than 2 GB;
- 7 GB of memory for installation on the railway;
- graphics card with 256 MB of memory from Nvidia or AMD;
- processor with 2 cores and a frequency of 2.4 GHz or higher.
With this configuration, you can play at low image settings. If your computer is even weaker, you need to lower the screen resolution. Of course, in this case, the quality will decrease significantly, but the number of frames per second will increase, which will allow you to comfortably play and play The Saboteur. System requirements on the PC are fully consistent with the level of graphics and optimization.
Recommended Requirements
Now let's move on to the game’s maximum settings. In this case, you will need approximately the following computer configuration:
- Windows XP operating system or later;
- 3 GB of RAM minimum;
- 7 GB for installation on a hard drive;
- 512 MB of video memory;
- 2.8 GHz 4-core processor or more.
If you run the game on a similar PC or more powerful, then you will not have any performance problems, and the FPS counter will raise up to 60 frames stably.
Another important point is updating the drivers. Even if all system requirements are met, The Saboteur can slow down if outdated drivers are installed on the video card. Download software from the official websites of video card manufacturers. Before installing, be sure to uninstall the old version.
You are now familiar with The Saboteur system requirements. Part 2 of this project, unfortunately, was closed, so to see the continuation of the original setting and history in the near future will not work. However, this does not prevent you from getting to know the game if you did not know anything about it before!
