The GTA series has never really built the gameplay around the rich animal world and its interactions. The first major changes took place in GTA-5, where various representatives of the fauna finally got their legal representation. Adding Dogs
Players learned about dogs in GTA 5 from the debut trailer. These four-legged people go for a walk with their owners, provide security for the houses and, in general, do things typical of dogs. Moreover, one of the main protagonists, Franklin, has his own dog named Chomp. In fact, the real owner of the Rottweiler is Lamar, but we still have to take care of him.
Chop can be taken with you on trips around the city and play ball with him. In addition, he lends himself to training and can even help in the search for letters and fragments of UFOs in the corresponding quests.
Deep sea inhabitants
San Andreas is washed by the Pacific Ocean, which means that in deep waters you can easily meet sharks. Collision with these predators promises great trouble for all divers. That is why during diving it is recommended to monitor any changes on the radar. The red marks that appear indicate the approach of the "jaws."
You can fight a shark, but the chances of getting out of the fight unharmed are extremely small. It is better to climb onto any surface, such as a boat, as soon as possible, or try to escape by swimming. It is easy to understand in what specific places sharks live - dangerous water areas are painted in dark blue. By the way, if the toothy still manages to feast on our hero for lunch, then the game gives an “achievement”.
Terrestrial fauna
When choosing mountains and hills for your trip, you need to be careful, as wild cougars are found in these places. They are often found singly, so fighting off an animal is not so difficult. The main thing is to open fire before it tries to jump on the hero. The appearance of the puma can also be seen by the characteristic red marks on the radar.
Other common wild animals are coyotes. They live in deserts and plains throughout Blaine County. Very often coyotes run out onto the road and, as a result, die under the wheels of passing cars. The same can be said about the inhabitants of the thickets - deer. Among deer there are both males (they have horns) and females (no horns). By the way, the anatomy of these artiodactyls is also in order - if you shoot them in the chest exactly where the heart should be (below the neck), the animal will instantly die.
In addition to these animals, in "GTA-5" you can meet others. When you are in the countryside, you can notice how cows graze near the farms, and fearful hens run around the ground. If you wander into a landfill or some dysfunctional place, then here and there will run beauty.
Well, of course, do not forget about cats, wild boars and rabbits - there are plenty of them in GTA 5. And in one of the missions, heroes can even meet chimpanzees (but only during the passage of missions).
General information about the "Photography Hunt" contest
The competition with animals in "GTA-5" is available to all users of the SocialClub network. The mission itself opens after completing one of Beverly Felton’s missions called Paparazzi. As soon as the mission is completed, Franklin will receive a letter with all the necessary information regarding the competition.
What are the rules? It's simple: we have to travel around the city and photograph certain animals. In total, 20 shots should be obtained. You will have to take photos through the phone, on which a special application called Snapmatic will appear. If the animal comes out on the picture successfully, the program menu will open an additional button to send a message. Franklin will later receive a response from LS TouristBoard listing all the animals that need to be photographed. In order to take a picture of a particular animal, you need to know its location on the map.
How to find animals?
It is impossible to assert with certainty that a particular animal appears according to a strictly predetermined principle. However, some patterns do occur. It is also worth noting that during a fast ride, the character will be able to see mostly only wild fauna: past running coyotes, wild deer, rabbits, etc. Dogs and other, more domesticated animals meet during quiet walks.
In search of birds: cormorants, crows, hawks, hens, seagulls
To see these birds and capture them in photographs, you have to go to the mountainous terrain. If you meet only one bird, there is a high probability that after some time others will appear on this place. Pictures with hawks are most in demand - they are obtained in photographs the largest.
The habitats of chickens are rural areas, while they can only be found in daylight. We advise you to inspect the territory in which residential buildings are located - usually these poultry can be seen there.
So, one of these sites is a small farm in the middle of the Grand Senora desert. By the way, it is here that you can take several pictures of other animals, such as wild boar or birds, which were mentioned above.
As for gulls, they usually live on beaches and close to the ocean.
"Wildlife Photography": cougar, wild boars, coyotes, rabbits and deer
For cougars will have to go to a wooded area, there are plenty of such sites in San Andreas. First, the animal must be tracked, and only then take pictures. The main thing is to go unnoticed as much as possible, as the cougar can attack Franklin at any time and is easy to kill. One of the easiest ways to get a picture is to climb to a surface that the animal cannot reach. You can climb onto the roof of the car or take cover in the water.
In search of wild boars, you will have to search various wild places and countryside. With absolute probability, the animal can be found next to the farmhouse, which is located in the middle of the Grand Senora desert.
Going to the wilderness for coyotes, you should take care to take a shocker with you, as these are very shy animals. You can take a good picture at the moment when the animal begins to recover. Do not worry - coyotes shocker does no harm. You can, of course, lurk in the bushes, wait and take a picture unnoticed. A similar strategy will work in GTA 5 with deer. True, they will have to go to the forests. By the way, rabbits can also be found there, which are very easy to photograph due to their slowness.
Cows, pigs, cats and dogs
The first pair - a cow and a pig - can be found on any farm. Take pictures of them only in daylight. As for our closest four-legged friends, they will have to wander along the streets of Los Santos. Cats in GTA 5, by the way, are often found near an abandoned hotel in the Sandy Shores area. Dogs can be taken to Rockford Hills, where the Wangeliko jewelry store is located, or to the Vinewood Hills area. By the way, you don’t have to go far for a snapshot of the Rottweiler, since Chop is perfect for the role of the model.

The following few modifications will help bring some variety to the gameplay. For example, thanks to the highly popular RELATIONSHIPS mod, animals in GTA V no longer feel insecure when they see the protagonist approaching them.
Animal Ark Shelter is not just some kind of GTA-5 cheat code, but a full-fledged add-on made at the DLC level. The mod allows you to get yourself any pet, buying it from the shelter. The choice is given not only pets, but also wild ones, such as coyotes. Note that the animal fashion data for GTA-5 (Animal Ark Shelter and RELATIONSHIPS) work only in single games and do not apply to multiplayer.
