"Vixint PK-68" is a composition of viscous fluid, which consists of SKTN (low molecular weight rubber and catalyst). The product belongs to the category of electrical insulating compounds and sealants.
Description
"Vixint PK-68" is produced in Russia and is intended to protect against corrosion, cold, overheating of radio and electronic devices that operate at high humidity and temperature from -60 to 200 degrees. The sealant is very plastic, soft, pliable. It isolates Permalloy and Ferrite products well. The material protects equipment and objects made of brass, tin, aluminum from corrosion and does not cause it. The compound is transparent, with its help you can easily repair circuits and blocks.
The main task of all sealants is to fix the structural components of electronic devices. Compounds not only fix, but also act as a sealant. Modern silicone materials combine these two functions, they are divided into acrylic, urethane and others, depending on the basis.
Silicone properties are the most reliable sealants. They are used in electronic devices. When choosing a compound, it is important to consider their technical characteristics, including adhesion, operating temperature, elasticity, temperature coefficient of expansion, strength and neutrality.
Neutral sealants do not emit aggressive substances, do not cause corrosion. Their peculiarity lies in the fact that the compounds perform their functions under various conditions, including radiation, medium, pressure and humidity.
Instruction manual
Compound "Vixint PK-68" - filling silicone sealant. To use the material for its intended purpose, mix catalyst No. 68 and SKTN rubber (it can be replaced with paste) in a metal container until homogeneous. The mixing time of the mass is from three to ten minutes, depending on the intensity and number of components. Make sure that there are no air bubbles and foam in it. When the compound is ready, apply it on a previously prepared surface with a spatula.
Maximum tightness occurs after four days, starting from the moment of mixing the catalyst and paste. If the P-11 sublayer is used, it is recommended to degrease the surface with acetone, ethyl alcohol, gasoline and dry naturally in the sun. Then apply the undercoat evenly with a dry brush, dry it for forty minutes and apply Vixint PK-68 on top.
Features
Vixint PK-68 is a two-component product that consists of a base and a catalyst. If mixed with catalyst No. 68, it will become solid within a day. The compound is a rubber base SKTN-A and a transparent liquid. Consistency (hardener) can be completely colorless or have a light yellow tint.
The technical characteristics of the material include:
- sufficient viscosity (90-150 seconds);
- bond strength of sealant with metal (0.3 kg / cm);
- elongation at break (110%);
- strength (0.23 MPa);
- electrical resistivity (1 * 1013 Ohm);
- specific surface resistance (1 * 1013 Ohm);
- loss (0.0025);
- permeability (3.0);
- dielectric strength (15 kV / mm).
The sealant preserves its properties at air temperatures from 0 to 30 degrees.
The advantages of the compound include transparency (with its help it is easy to repair blocks and circuits, to make faults), high dielectric properties, a large temperature range for the use of sealant and viscosity, elasticity and softness (it fixes products well), has excellent adhesion. After mixing, the compound becomes hard or rubbery. The sublayer helps improve adhesion (adhesion). With the help of Vicksent, not only devices are isolated, but also threaded joints of the pipeline of the internal heating system of residential buildings or enterprises.
Price
Technical characteristics of "Vixinta PK-68" fully comply with the standards that apply to sealants. Compounds are delivered most often in a complete set of five to seven kg. The average cost is 380 rubles per kilogram. Sealant is also sold in bulk containers.
Reviews
Is Vixint PK-68 silicone sealant reliable or not? The instructions from the manufacturer indicate what technical characteristics the compound has. Judging by the feedback from users, due to the consistency and transparency, it is convenient to use sealant and apply it. It does not stain hands or objects, and if this happens, the material is easy to remove until completely dry. The compound withstands low and high temperatures, chemically resistant, well insulates.
It can be called universal, since it is used not only for sealing electrical and radio devices, but also for gluing glass, making transparent forms, and isolating circuits. Sealant is recommended for use for devices that work in conditions of vibration and high humidity. Some users find that material is expensive for its category.
