A dog for a man has long become a faithful companion and a bold guard. Sometimes it’s not even clear what we would do without our silent, but such faithful four-legged friends. Like humans, animals have different characters, differ in appearance, size, and ability. In our time, breeders managed to create many new breeds that combine all the positive qualities that we would like to see in our pets: beauty, quick wit, complaisance, courage. Some tetrapods are at the peak of popularity, while others for one reason or another people hear less and less. Therefore, I would like to draw attention to the rarest dog breeds.
Today, not so often you can see the Tibetan mastiff.
This breed is classified as rare, although several centuries ago it was distributed in China and neighboring countries. These fierce and noble guards accompanied children and women walking with goods along the Silk Road. After they were transported to the plains for sale, the mastiffs discovered a huge number of diseases. Today they have already adapted to the new locality, although they have added to the list of "Rare breeds of dogs." There are no problems with photographs, so everyone can enjoy the powerful look of these giants, but not everyone can buy a mastiff puppy. The price of some representatives of this breed reaches a million dollars.
Moody is a service dog bred in Hungary. She perfectly copes with her role as a shepherd, skillfully manages large herds, shows miracles of quick wits, thanks to which she has gained worldwide recognition, although you can hardly find representatives of this breed outside Hungary.
The rarest breeds of dogs are usually striking in their appearance, and catalburun was no exception. An animal remarkable for its forked nose. The breed was bred in Turkey and lives only in this country. Hunters appreciated the skill of hunting pets and their excellent scent.
Azawak and Norwegian dead-end husky are rare breeds of dogs in Russia. The first is common in
African countries and outside the hottest continent is extremely rare. It is elongated, long-legged and very thin; it is used for hunting fast
desert animals, for example, gazelles. The Norwegian dead-end husky lived back in the days of the Vikings and was used to hunt dead ends. The animal has 6 toes on its front legs, and 5 toes on its hind legs. Laika added to the list of "Rare Breeds of Dogs" because, due to digestive upsets, it is poorly absorbed by nutrients and dies at an early age.
The Carolina dog is also called the American Dingo. She very easily adapts to any conditions, estrus in her, as in all wild animals, happens once a year.
The Otterhounds were very popular in the XII century, they were mainly used for hunting otters. At the end of the 70s of the XX century, such entertainment was prohibited, and the breed began to turn less and less. Today, about four hundred of these animals live in North America.
The rarest breeds of dogs are no worse, or maybe even better than some of the pets common nowadays, they just went into fashion, or they can’t spread all over the world because of physiological characteristics.
