Compensatory type kindergarten
In such preschool institutions, predominantly qualified assistance is provided to children with various physical and mental disabilities. Educational programs and methods of treatment, correction and upbringing are created on the basis of information about what specific deviations are available to the pupils. Such institutions can be visited by children who are blind, hard of hearing and visually impaired, children with severe speech impairment, etc. Admission can be done only with the consent of the parents, as well as after the conclusion of special commissions: medical-pedagogical and psychological-pedagogical.
The activities of such institutions are quite specific imposes certain requirements on their equipment. So, preschool educational institutions of this kind are usually equipped with speech therapy and massage rooms, pools, special devices in groups, etc.
Wellness and supervision kindergarten
Such DOWs are usually taken by babies who are not yet three years old. Wellness and educational events are held here. Great attention is paid to the prevention of various diseases in children and sanitary conditions.
Combined Kindergarten
The essence of the activities of this institution is clear from the name. These preschool educational institutions can unite in themselves groups of different types (health-improving, compensating and general educational).
Development center
The priority for such a pre-school educational institution is an individual approach to each pupil. Much attention is paid to the development of intellectual and artistic-aesthetic abilities of children. To organize the entire process of education and upbringing at the proper level, computer classes, pools, game complexes and gyms are equipped here. The organization of various circles, sections, children's theaters and art studios is also possible.
So now we know what DOW is. The interpretation of this abbreviation is perceived by many as a synonym for the concept of "kindergarten", moreover, in the usual sense for the average Russian. However, as we see, there are several types of such institutions. Well, the parents of the kids have something to think about.
