The problem with "Mile.Ru" is known to many users firsthand. There can be quite a lot of reasons for the inoperability of the service, as well as the resource itself (from the banal "fall" of the server to blocking the site or user account). They even say that the site itself is not particularly stable in operation. Let us dwell on methods for eliminating such failures a little later, but for now it is proposed to find out what can cause malfunctions, which lead to numerous complaints from users.
Why Mile.Ru Doesn’t Work: The Main Types of Problems
So, for starters, let's divide all possible failures into main categories. First, the performance of the resource itself may be impaired due to many factors, and nothing depends on the end user. Secondly, the start page may open, but there is no access to registration and the mailbox. Most likely, the reason is that the user himself did not go to the mail for a long time (six months or longer), and his account was simply blocked.
Thirdly, the site itself and all the services present on it can be blocked at the state level, as this, in particular, is happening in Ukraine. Fourth, the parameters set in the browsers used may be incorrect, or they are too heavily littered with garbage.
Another reason is often called incorrect DNS settings, but such cases are rare, and the correction of the situation is possible due to the use of other values in the IP protocol parameters (most often it is recommended to set publicly free combinations from Google).
Mile.ru doesn't work: issues related to accounts
Now let's proceed to fix possible failures. Initially, we assume that the start page opens, but it is impossible to enter the mail service. Why does Mile.ru not work? As already understood, because the box itself was blocked, or the user enters incorrect combinations for the username and password. In this case, the simplest registration recovery helps, a link to which will be shown after one or more failed login attempts.
To do this, you will need to recall the control questions, enter the mobile phone number specified when creating the box. After entering the code from the SMS message, access is usually restored immediately.
What if the service is not responding at all?
But let's see why "Mile.Ru" does not work at all (meaning that it’s impossible to load even the home page of the site). There are only three options: either the service “fell”, or the resource is blocked by third-party services of the country from which you are logging in, or the problem is the incorrect settings of the web browser.
IT specialists at the Mail.Ru service itself recommend using the direct entry of an IP site (94.100.180.201) instead of the usual Internet address. If this does not work, the problem is clearly on the side of the user terminal. In this case, you will need to change the addresses of the DNS servers (either directly in the IPv4 protocol settings, or on the router if the wireless connection mode is used).
As for the browsers used, for starters, it’s best to clean up all kinds of temporary files, cache and delete cookie objects. A full reset of browser settings also helps. By and large, if some browser still does not work correctly, just try logging in to another similar program.
Resource Blocking Actions
Finally, the biggest problem and root cause is the blocking of the service by government services and providers (for example, in Ukraine).
In this situation, the easiest way out is to activate the VPN client in an Internet browser (in Opera, it is preinstalled, and for other browsers you can install additional extensions). Sometimes you can use general applications like SafeIP. If this does not help, use the Tor browser, which is initially a kind of VPN tool - it uses its own network of the same name to bypass locks. But why does Mile.Ru not work even after that?
It may well be that some kind of virus has wound up in a computer system. As already understood, it will need to be found and neutralized using portable scanners, rather than installed full-time antiviruses, for this, or perform manual removal (if possible). But both antiviruses and firewalls can block this resource. As a solution, you can propose to temporarily disable all protective equipment, and when normal access appears, add the desired site to the list of exceptions (both antivirus and firewall).
