In 2012, the AMD Radeon HD 7000 Series graphics accelerators were officially introduced. It included various modifications of video cards, which made it possible to create both high-performance computers and entry-level PCs. This group of accelerators will be the focus of this review.
The lineup
This group of accelerators was codenamed Southern Islands. In this case, the GPUs were manufactured using 28 nm technology and were equipped with a separate buffer based on DDR5 chips.
The younger accelerators included modifications of the HD 7750, HD 7770 and HD 7790. The first two video cards were based on the chip. Cape Verde and equipped with a video buffer of 1 GB. The HD 7750 had 512 stream processors, and the HD 7770 had 640. The HD 7790 was based on another microprocessor - Bonaire. In this case, the number of stream modules increased to 896 units, and the amount of RAM was 2 GB.
Accelerators HD 7850 and HD 7870 were intended for use as part of mid-priced personal computers. In the first case, the user received 1024 stream blocks, and in the second - 1280. They were also equipped with 2 GB of RAM.
The flagship line of accelerators was also represented by two models. The more affordable of them had the designation HD 7950, and the oldest - HD 7970. All devices in this series were necessarily equipped with 3 GB of memory and were based on the Tahiti chip. The main difference came down to the number of active stream processors. The 7950 had 1792, and the 7970 had 2048.
Drivers Installation procedure
AMD Radeon HD 7000 Series drivers are recommended to be installed as follows:

After that, the PC is configured and fully ready for use.
Conclusion
This review examined the line of AMD Radeon HD 7000 Series graphics cards. Although these devices were introduced more than 5 years ago, their operating speed is still at a sufficient level and allows us to implement most of the urgent tasks, therefore computers with such video cards do not yet need modernization.
