Unfortunately, they are not immune from the appearance of all kinds of failures and errors, which often lead to the failure of microcontrollers and the loss of important information. Next, we’ll look at a few simple ways to recover a flash drive from this particular manufacturer, although the proposed options (except for one of the following) can be applied to most devices of this class known today.

If we talk about restoring efficiency or information, covering the issue in full, it is worth noting that A-DATA flash drives, like any other USB drives, can be used in two ways: either they can be used to restore a stationary operating system installed on a computer or laptop, or restore the devices themselves after some critical malfunctions or even viral exposure. We will dwell briefly on actions with Windows in terms of bringing the system to a working state, and we will focus on the methods that allow you to restore the drives themselves and the information that could be stored on them, but was damaged or deleted due to failures.
A brief description of recovering Windows from a flash drive
As for the recovery of Windows-systems when it is impossible to start them in any of the known modes, as well as in case of rollback errors, each user should know such actions.
They consist of several simple steps:
- loading the system image;
- creating a bootable flash drive from the downloaded image (for example, in the Rufus program);
- installing a flash drive as the first device to boot into the BIOS;
- start from the carrier;
- restore startup or the entire system;
- if recovery is not possible, check system files via the command line (sfc / scannow), check or overwrite the bootloader (Bootrec.exe toolkit with additional attributes), use other test tools of the console or third-party programs that have their own bootloaders, to test the hard drive, RAM etc.

But, since we are talking specifically about flash drives, the performance of which is disrupted due to some kind of malfunctions, now we will dwell in detail on a few simple solutions that are designed specifically for A-DATA devices. Here, as usual, you need to select the drive, click the start button for the scan, and save the search results in any convenient place on your hard drive or external device. It is especially worth noting that the probability of finding and recovering deleted files is so great that very often this application can be used even if the medium has been formatted, and not even in a quick way, but with full formatting.
Low level media formatting and other methods
It remains to add that if none of the above methods has given the desired result, you can use the popular HDD LLFT program as the most recent solution, which will perform low-level formatting and restore access to any device.
If you wish, you can independently determine the identifiers of the flash drive (for example, using the ChipGenius program), and then find the necessary firmware for microcontrollers from them and try to restore your device. But such a technique is common, so sometimes it is much easier to use "native" software products that are focused specifically on A-DATA devices.
