Defender of the Fatherland Day, celebrated annually on February 23, is a celebration of all men who defended their homeland or were ready to stand up with arms to defend it. In the post-Soviet space, it has historical significance, speaking on the day of honor of all the heroes who fought in the Great Patriotic War with the fascist invaders.
That is why the educational system in preschool and school educational institutions pays special attention to this day. The celebration of February 23 is designed to educate the modern generation in respect for the dedication and heroism of the warriors who have given us all a peaceful sky above our heads.
Traditionally, on this day, children make home-made gifts to veterans, military, male relatives: crafts, stucco figures, drawings. As a rule, children of preschool age do not even think about what can be painted on February 23, because a drawing is born by itself, from a pure heart. As practice shows, boys most often draw a tank, and girls - a ship. And do not be surprised if the ship suddenly turns pink, or, for example, a tank, plane and steamboat are nearby - the imagination of a preschool child is unlimited.

The fact is that this flower has long been considered a symbol of courage and the pursuit of justice, the triumph of a just cause over evil.
