What is an organza?
It is really weightless, transparent, but at the same time tough and durable fabric. It is made of viscose, silk or polyester. The technology of its manufacture is based on the method of twisting two fibers of these materials. That's why it has a silvery sheen and shimmers in the sun.
To obtain this effect, its threads are specially processed, which is a very complex process. In addition, the threads themselves should be flawless, transparent, thin and strong. Even from artificial fibers it is not so easy to get such a thread, and from natural and even more so. Therefore, organza used to be very expensive, since it was made only from silk or viscose, and these are very expensive materials.
Now in most cases it is made from polyester synthetic fibers (polyester). That is why modern organza is a fabric, the price of which is much lower, which made it so affordable and popular.
In addition, it owes many properties to polyester. It does not crumple, does not fade, is very durable, and also has excellent light and breathability.
Types of Organza
This transparent fabric can be matte or shiny. Today, organza fabric has a very spectacular appearance. Description of its processing includes many ways. Washing powder should be soft.
When machine washing, only the delicate mode is used, the temperature of which should not exceed + 40º C, and it is advisable to disable the spin function.
Hand wash is preferable. The fabric is soaked in water with diluted powder, allowed to melt a little, and then, carefully squeezing from all sides, remove impurities. It is forbidden to twist the product, which can lead to damage to the fabric fibers.
Rinse should also be done carefully. In a typewriter, a delicate wash also implies a corresponding rinse, and when washing the organza with your hands, you need to rinse it in warm water several times, then leave it in a basin so that the glass is water, and only then hang it.
Does organza require ironing? This fabric even does not wrinkle during washing, but if you still want to iron it, you need to select the “silk” or “synthetics” mode on the iron without using moisture.
