What can be painted in Paint, tools and colors

Paint is a standard Windows graphics editor. And although it cannot boast of wide functionality, it is very easy to work with it. This program allows you to create simple drawings and make small edits to a photo or image. Let's look at what you can draw in Paint.

Paint Tools

Paint has a fairly limited set of features, but you should still familiarize yourself with them before you start drawing.

After starting the program, you will find all available tools on the top panel. In total, two tabs are available to you: "Home" and "View". In the main tab there are such groups of tools:

  1. "Clipboard" - contains standard features to paste, cut and copy the image or its fragment.
  2. "Image" - allows you to select, rotate and resize a picture or photograph.
  3. "Tools" - contains a small set of brushes and a set of standard tools for drawing.
  4. “Shapes” - makes it possible to add a shape, change the color of its fill and contour, and select the thickness of the line.
  5. "Colors" - allows you to choose the color of lines and fills.

In the "View" tab, you have the opportunity to zoom in or out, turn on the ruler, grid and display the status bar, and expand the picture in full screen.

How to draw in Paint

You can draw in the Paint both using a pencil or brush, or using shapes. To draw a contour, you need to select a pencil or a brush you like and draw a line by holding down the mouse button.

If you want to add a shape, simply click on the object of interest from the available templates, place the cursor on the canvas and drag in the desired direction. The figure can be moved and resized. You can also change the color of its outline and fill. “Color 1” on the toolbar is responsible for the hue of the outline, and “Color 2” for the fill hue. As a fill or outline for an object, you can apply the texture of one of the existing brushes.

Drawing in Paint

What can I draw in Paint for beginners?

If you are drawing for the first time on a computer, then try to portray something simple with the help of template shapes. For example, the simplest building, consisting of a rectangle, a triangle and several squares. You can also draw a smiley face with a circle and lines.

You can draw anything in Paint, everything depends on your imagination. Of course, the drawings created in Paint are far from professional paintings, but are quite suitable as simple illustrations.

Castle painted in Paint

How to draw a castle in Paint

A house or a simple man is not the only thing that can be easily and beautifully painted in Paint. For example, in this program you can depict a whole castle. To do this, draw three rectangles using the shapes. The central figure should be lower than the rest.

Add three prongs on top of each rectangle. To do this, you can use the "Rectangle" figure or draw the cogs with a pencil. This way you get three turrets. On high towers, draw windows using rounded rectangles. On the central tower, add the gate, and draw several lines on them.

On the sides you can finish the battlements and the road in front of the gate using the “Line” figure. When you are finished drawing the outline, use the fill to quickly and easily color the drawing.

Trees painted in Paint

How to draw a tree

If you are interested in drawing a light in Paint, try drawing a tree. And you can depict it in different ways. For example, a beautiful tree will turn out from the “Leader-cloud” and “Triangle” figures, you just need to wipe a few extra elements with an eraser. Also, a tree can be drawn from several circles and a rectangle.

From three triangles and a square you get a neat Christmas tree. A simpler option can be made using only one triangle.

Landscape

If you are interested in what is beautiful you can draw in Paint, then try to depict various landscapes using the same shapes in the picture or drawing lines with a brush. For example, you can draw mountains using triangles, several small trees or Christmas trees, and an oval lake in the middle. You can also make the night sky with the help of stars and a dark blue fill.

Fox drawing

Animals

Among other things, in "Paint" you can draw a variety of animals from geometric shapes. For example, you can depict a fox of four triangles of different sizes, a pair of circles and a "Lightning" figure.

To draw a cat, you can use triangles for the body, ears and tail, a circle for the head and lozenges for the eyes. And for the image of the bear you need only circles and ovals of different sizes.

What can be drawn in the "Paint" on the cells?

Thanks to the "Turn on the grid" function, drawing in the "Paint" on the cells is quite easy. You can draw any picture of interest by following the instructions or diagram.

For example, try to draw an apple. To do this, first go to the “View” tab in “Paint” and turn on “Grid Lines”, and then return to the main tab again. To draw it a little easier, you can maximize the sheet and draw with a pencil, and then, if necessary, enlarge the picture.

Go to the main tab, select green and paint over three cells. After that, we retreat seven cells to the right and paint over three more cells. We return to the first three cells, lower the pencil one square down to the left and paint over five cells horizontally. Again we go down and to the left by one sector and paint over six cells. Now, under six cells, paint over five cells, and then below three more. On this, the first leaf of the apple will be ready, for the second leaf on the right, we repeat the same actions in a mirror.

Food by cell

Having drawn both leaves, we select brown, we retreat two cells from the upper part of the left leaf and draw a vertical line five cells down. Through the center of this line, paint another five cells horizontally, connecting two green leaves. From the bottom of the brown vertical line, paint another cell to the right, then draw the pencil down one cell, again to the right and down.

Apple by cells

Now we start drawing the contour of the apple itself and choose black color. Under a branch with leaves, we paint over black three cells horizontally.

Move the pencil up one cell to the right and paint over three more horizontal cells. A little lower on the right, we draw two cells horizontally, and then another one diagonally down. After that, draw a line two cells down to the right, lower one cell diagonally down and paint another five cells vertically.

Move the pencil one square down and to the left and vertically paint two squares. Below we repeat this action. Sketch two more cells diagonally down. We go down one cell below and paint three horizontal squares to the left. Then we draw one square to the left up and even higher two cells horizontally. This way you get half the outline. We draw the second half as if it is reflected in the mirror. If necessary, you can check the image above.

When you’ve finished drawing the outline, use the Fill tool to color the apple in the desired color.
