Children's camp "Lazurny" (Vyksa) is located 200 km southwest of Nizhny Novgorod, on the banks of the Oka River, in the Vyksa district, in a picturesque pine forest. The history of the unique educational and sanatorium-improving center began in 1995.
A year-round camp for children from 11 to 16 years old and one of the best health resorts in the Nizhny Novgorod region is the camp "Lazurny". Vyksa is a small town that many outside the region became known after the opening of the center.
In 2004, the camp became the winner of the All-Russian competition of the Ministry of Defense and Science of our country in the category "The Best Camp in Russia". Every year there are fifteen specialized shifts of twenty-four days.
Accommodation
Five bedrooms, modernly equipped buildings with double, triple and quadruple rooms have been built for the children to live. Double and triple rooms have all the amenities. Sports base
For the children in the camp, all conditions for playing sports have been created: a beautiful stadium with a modern synthetic coating, game complexes, a combined basketball and volleyball courts, a football field, sports and gymnasiums, an indoor heated pool. Professional trainers are involved with children in the sections of swimming and aqua aerobics, volleyball and badminton, athletic gymnastics and basketball.

Sanatorium-improving activity
The camp "Lazurny" (Vyksa) carries out comprehensive sanatorium-improving activities, in which the emphasis is on the use of physiotherapeutic factors, the organization of the proper diet and rest, education and leisure for vacationers.
The medical building of the camp has:

- massage rooms;

Each child, as prescribed by the attending physician, which is indicated in the spa card, can undergo a full diagnostic examination. The center provides treatment and prevention of diseases:

Azure camp (Vyksa): what to take with you?
If you are going to send your child to "Azure", then you need to know what he needs to take on a trip. First of all, these, of course, are the necessary documents:

Personal hygiene items:

Camp staff
To work with 437 children each shift, a large and close-knit team is needed. The current staff of the camp totals three hundred and sixty representatives of various professions. And at the origins of the creation of the camp was a native of these places, who today holds the post of Minister of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Sergey Naumov.
And now a few words about the people who work with the guys. It is probably hard to overestimate the activities of the organizing teacher (the leader is officially named today): he meets children and deals with them twenty-four hours a day, helps to adapt and reveal all their opportunities and talents, organizes various events and solves a lot of everyday issues that can occur during the day.
It is noteworthy that more than 20% of today's counselors once had a rest in the "Azure". The camp has three educators-psychologists and three methodologists. The center organized the training of teachers, studied work experience, published modern methodological publications, and created interesting shift programs.
