  1. First you need to pull the mirror out of the frame. It is worth looking at the degree of damage to the metal coating.
  2. Carefully clean problem areas with a brush. Do not press hard or scrub the amalgam. It is enough to remove the breakaway particles.
  3. Wipe the mirror with a cloth that is slightly moistened with window cleaner. Then wipe the surface of the product dry.
  4. Apply a little acetone to the dishwashing sponge and wipe with such a composition places that will be restored in the future.
  5. Apply special glue to the damaged area.
  6. Cut a piece of foil that is larger in size than the damaged area.
  7. Lay the foil with the shiny side away from you to the mirror. Using a rag, iron the foil to remove excess glue.

Within a few hours, the glue will dry completely and the mirror can be hung in place. For greater fixation of the foil, it is sometimes coated with wood varnish or transparent nail polish.
