Landscape in Western Plaguelands

Description

Western Plaguelands is an area located in northern Lordaeron. It is surrounded by the Alterac mountains on the south side, and the Tirisfal Glades from the west. And also it borders on the Eastern Plaguelands. The area is very dangerous, because it is inhabited by infected animals that attack any traveler. In addition, the undead wander through these lands.

Abandoned cities and towns are filled with gray fog. The landscape here is dull, but before these forests were incredibly beautiful. This can be understood by the only place that has preserved its former beauty, the Tomb of Uther the Lightbringer.

Story

The area, which is commonly called the Western Plaguelands, was once rich in game forests. They ran from the capital of Lordaeron to Darrowmire. Dolny Hearth was considered the capital of the region, and Andorhal was the center of wheat distribution. This was the destruction of the area.

Necromancer Kel'Thuzad realized that the Scourge plague would spread faster through infected wheat. Therefore, he installed huge boilers in the fields. With the spread of the Plague, forests began to die. The trees acquired a gray-brown hue, terrible growths appeared on them.

Trying to save the little that was left from the plague, the Scarlet Order occupied the Mardenhold fortress and Dolny hearth. And Silver Dawn set up camp near the cemetery of Hill of Sorrows. They help the Forsaken build a bastion and send fighters to battle the Scourge.

How to get to the Western Plaguelands

Traveling from Tirisfal Glades, head east from the Undercity on the main road and pass through the Bastion. Alliance representatives are better off getting around this Horde camp.

If you want to get to the location from the Inner Lands, then find the Plague Hollow. This trail is located between the Quel'Danil Gatehouse and the Sky-High Peak. Follow the road through the mountains and exit to Darrowmir Lake, near the gates of Kaer Darrow. But keep in mind that these areas belong to the Alliance. Therefore, supporters of the Horde should be careful.

To get to the area from the Alterac Mountains, walk to the main road leading north from the Hillsbrad Foothills. A little further than the Tarren mill, it is divided into two parts. Take the right path and go to Stranbrad. Be careful on the way, because ogres and bandits of the Syndicate live in this area. Further, the road will pass through the shore of Dank Wind. This camp belongs to the Alliance. Therefore, the Horde should be avoided.
