This sports equipment was invented in America, invented by Arthur Melin. Later in Bulgaria, the hoop was often used in circus art. Then the circus artists began to try to spin several hoops on their bodies at once. Further, children can be invited to play in such circus performers and try to perform simple sets of exercises with a hoop with them.

To perform exercises with a hoop for children, products made of plastic are used. They are lighter and do not cause injuries to the child's body in the way a metal or aluminum hoop can do.

The hoop should be 55-65 cm in diameter and the rim cross-section should be 1.5-2 cm.

Before starting exercise, you need to warm up the muscles by performing simple warm-up exercises.

Considering that children quickly get bored with performing the same activity, it is necessary to alternate, for example, exercises with a hoop and exercises with a ball or stick.
