Making a medal from the dough: recipe
Mix half a glass of flour with half a glass of salt. Add a spoonful of starch to give the dough whiteness and elasticity. Dilute the resulting mass with water, gradually pouring it with a spoon and stirring.
We roll out the dough on a table, with a glass or a lid from the container we form circles from the dough, leaving a small strip on top. In the strip with a knife we make a hole for the tape.
A beautiful pattern on the details can be made using a cap from a felt-tip pen, curly pasta, a thin knife or toothpicks. With a cap, we apply a pattern containing Olympic symbols. Prepared medals must be dried in the oven on the smallest fire for 3 hours.
Dried medals for children can be painted with acrylics or gouache without adding water. It is even simpler to spray paint of a golden shade from a spray can, then cover it with transparent acrylic to give durability.
